Steve's Bio

I’m reluctant to date myself. But since experience counts, I’ll confess that I started in this business as a cave painter, and that my family was among the first to have color fire.

 

So now, maybe a 45-year career doesn't sound that old, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the transition from markers, rubber cement, and IBM Selectric typewriters to the digital world. Along the way, I’ve had the good fortune to work at top ad agencies in Boston, NYC, and Ft. Lauderdale. Print, direct marketing, broadcast, and now interactive are all in my wheelhouse — and I’ve won dozens of creative awards for work in those categories.

 

My work ethic is informed by one principle: If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right. And the first tool I use on every project is my ears. Because if I don’t listen carefully to you — and your customers — there’s no foundation upon which to build a strategy. And without a strategy, the result is just word salad.

 

It doesn’t matter if you’re a Fortune 100 company or a Mom & Pop corner store. I consider every client my best client. You all have marketing challenges, and challenges are the great equalizer.

 

But as important as you are, I have a life, too. Father, grandfather, jazz enthusiast, exercise nut (bicycle racer back in the day, but now just walking 6 miles a day), and board member with the American Advertising Federation - Dayton. The exercise part is actually good for you because I often do my best thinking while I’m walking. However, if you call while I’m Facetiming with my grandson, you'll just have to wait.
